Nottingham's Denny Cup clash this Saturday against Sutton will be the first game at new Lammas Leisure Centre.
 
The game, scheduled to start at 10.00am prompt, will be the first bowls match to be played on the new carpet, and is part of a series of events lined up to open the new multi-million pound centre.
 
The official opening ceremony will be performed by former Olympic Champion Kelly Holmes.
 
Players and supporters are reminded that parking at the centre and general access to the building may be difficult so please leave plenty of time.

Having recently attended the England under 25 trial, Nottingham's Dan Smith has received good news in being called up for the England Junior International team for the upcoming match versus Wales.
 
The annual match, for the Bernard Telfer Trophy, will be played on Sunday 23rd November at City & County of Swansea IBC in Wales (1.00pm start).
 
Unfortunately Nottingham's other trialists, Matthew Vickery and Matthew Chambers, didn't make the team.

A new-look Nottingham Denny Cup team today breezed through into round 2 of the Denny Cup today, thrashing local neighbours Rushcliffe 121-43.
 
At Nottingham, the rink of Matt Kime, Ronnie Cowan, Mark Roe and Matthew Vickery ran out 28-14 against Dick Marshall.
Alongside Matt's rink, Tim Mitchell, Alistair Hansen, Mike Owen and Phil Dickens won 41-12.
 
At Rushcliffe, Billy Mellors, making his debut for Nottingham, skipped his rink to a hard fought 24-9 win. Mellors' rink of Trevor Lee, Dan Smith and Ian Griffin having the better of the second half of the game to run out deserved winners.
Michael Bowley, Stuart Smith, Phil Broughton and Duncan Robinson won 28-8.
 
Nottingham now face Ashfield in round 2, to be played Saturday 1st November 2008 at 10.00am.
