Sunday 30th November brought double-success for Nottingham IBC.
 
The Egham team (mixed - 2 rinks home, 2 away national competition) ran out comfortable winners against Leicester IBC.
 
All four rinks won well and the team now face Spalding on Sunday 14th December.

Nottingham's ladies won their first round Lingford Trophy tie against South Forest yesterday (23-November-08).
 
The Lingford Trophy, a triples double rink for ladies under 60 years of age, pitted local rivals Nottingham and South Forest against each other, with the Nottingham ladies coming out on top in a hard-fought game.
 
The rinks of Sarah Jenkinson, Jackie Turner, Elisa Griffin and Helen Mason, Sue Mart, Lynn Murden both won well against tough opposition.
 
The Nottingham ladies now face Church Gresley for a place in the last sixteen, on a date to be arranged.

Nottingham IBC's Denny Cup team failed to rediscover the form that had led us to numerous Denny Cup semi-finals and finals in recent years, slipping to a disappointed 79-70 defeat to Alfreton yesterday (22-November-08).

Matt Vickery is Area 8's representative in the National Under 25 singles after winning the under 25 singles area final recently.
 
Matt now goes forward to the National Under 25 singles finals, to be played at Melton Mowbray IBC on Saturday 27th December and Sunday 28th December 2008.

Nottingham IBC progressed into the next round of both the Denny Cup and Egham Trophy, after a successful weekend.
 
On Saturday in the Denny Cup, Nottingham beat Sutton-in-Ashfield 94-65.
At home, Tim Mitchell, Alistair Hansen, Phil Broughton & Phil Dickens won 26-14 and Matt Kime, Mark Roe, Mick Owen & Matt Vickery won 27-14.
 
Whilst away at the new Lammas Leisure Centre, Michael Bowley, Stuart Smith, Ronnie Cowan & Duncan Robinson won 23-11 whilst Trevor Lee, Dan Smith, Ian Griffin & Billy Mellors slipped to a narrow defeat, 18-25.
 
Nottingham now face Alfreton in the next round, to be played Saturday 22nd November 2008.
 
On Sunday, Nottingham comprehensively beat Barwell 97-25 in the Egham Trophy.
At Nottingham, Ian Griffin's rink beat D. Delahay 32-3, whilst Phil Dickens' rink beat P. Andrews 21-4.
Whilst at Barwell, Duncan Robinson's rink beat S. Thomas 21-8 and Phil Broughton's rink beat M. Kent 23-10.
