Nottingham's Denny Cup and Egham Trophy teams breezed through to the next round after a successful weekend.

 

On Saturday, the Denny team beat South Forest 86-52. The Nottingham team was:

On Sunday, the Egham team beat Alfreton 95-64. The Nottingham team was:

Next up is Charnwood in both competitions -

Denny Cup on Saturday 31st October 2009 and Egham Trophy on Sunday 1st November 2009.

The weekend of Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th October sees two big national competitions for the club.

 

On Saturday 18th October, the club commences its Denny Cup campaign at home to local rivals South Forest. The game starts at 10am with two rinks at home and two rinks away.

 

The following day sees the club's Egham Trophy team, confident after a thumping win over Leicester in a preliminary round, play Alfreton in Round 1 (also 10am start).

 

The club will be hoping to have a similar campaign to last year, when the club reached the semi-final stage before being defeated by Desborough.

 

Both games start at 10am and your support would be most welcome.

 

The club would like to congratulate Helen Mason on her inclusion in the England Women's Junior International trial.

 

After some excellent performances during 2007/08 she has been rewarded with a trial at Barwell IBC in Leicestershire, on Sunday 8th November 2009.

 

Helen will be hoping to clinch a place in the England side for the B.I.I.B.C. International Series at Cynon Valley Indoor Bowling Club on Friday 15th - Saturday 16th Jan 2010.

Our Egham Trophy team breezed through into the first round after defeating Leicester 100 - 48 on Sunday 4th October.
